In Place was created over 12 years ago to fill a very real void in the moving process -- what happens after the moving truck drives away. When you’re exhausted from moving day and still surrounded by boxes and misplaced furniture in your new home...the anxiety about the unpacking process kicks in.

Today Heather Jackson continues the family business of helping clients through the stress and challenges of the entire move, offering concierge moving and project management of the entire process. With the ability to be your single point of contact for every phase of your move, or to offer specific services pre and post move, In Place creates an organized process specific to your particular needs and priorities before, during and after your move. We are with you every step.

A veteran of multiple cross country and local moves (over 20!) Heather personally understands the stress and anxiety that accompanies a move. In fact, moving is widely identified as one of the top five most stressful events that people experience in life. With a foundation in organizing skills and grounded in empathy and the desire to be of service, Heather and her crew offer a customized and personal approach to making your new house into a new home.

Heather has a lifetime of experience in organizing, interior design and moves; her Aunt Dee founded In Place and her mom Kate is an interior designer. Both taught home, wardrobe and office organization to their clients… and to Heather by default/osmosis! With additional training and organizational experience, Heather & her crew are well equipped to provide you with improved organizational systems and processes in your home….so you can enjoy your days living in it!

At In Place, Heather and her crew love working with clients to carefully guide them and create a plan tailored to their needs. When she’s not working, Heather spends her time catching sunset at the beach with her dog Hoops, chasing a little white ball around a golf course and enjoying all that the Bay Area has to offer.
